Terms
Workspace Terms
Effective October 15, 2026. Version 1.
These terms are an agreement between Schedlynx (“we”, “us”) and the business, organization, or group that creates a workspace (“you”). The person who creates the workspace accepts them on your behalf, and confirms they may. The people you invite accept the Member Terms below.
1. The service
Schedlynx is a scheduling service: a schedule board for the people who build the week, an app for the people who work it, and notices by push, email, and text. We may add, change, or remove features as the service develops.
2. Your trial, and the pilot
A new workspace starts on a free 30-day trial. Schedlynx is in a pilot: during the pilot we may extend your trial, and nothing is ever charged until you accept paid terms. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before paid plans begin for your workspace, with their terms and prices. If you do not accept them, you may stop using Schedlynx and ask us to remove your workspace (section 8).
3. Your account and your workspace
- Give accurate information, and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what the members you invite do, and for the roles you give them.
- Tell us at support@schedlynx.com if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
4. Your information and your people
- Your information stays yours. You keep every right to the information you put in Schedlynx. You allow us to hold and use it only to provide the service to you, as our Privacy Policy describes.
- You decide whose information goes in. You are responsible for having the right to enter your people’s information (names, contact details, wage rates, availability, and the rest), and for telling them that you use Schedlynx and how. We hold and process it on your behalf, and we carry out your instructions about it.
- Requests from your people about the information you hold go to you; if one comes to us, we will refer them to you (Privacy Policy, section 10).
- Your obligations as an employer stay yours. Schedlynx can flag things like hours past a limit or a missing skill, depending on your plan, but it does not give legal advice, and its flags are aids, not a guarantee that a schedule meets employment standards or any other law. You remain responsible for your schedules, your pay, and the records you must keep.
5. Texts and email
- We send notices by text only to people who replied YES (or START) to our request, and we end them when a person replies STOP. You may not use Schedlynx to send messages people did not agree to receive.
- Notices follow each person’s settings. Some notices, such as an urgent request for cover, may be sent again by another channel when one goes unanswered.
6. Acceptable use
You will not, and will not let anyone in your workspace:
- use Schedlynx for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone;
- send spam, or enter information about people you have no right to hold;
- pretend to be someone else, or add or invite people without their knowledge;
- try to get around its security, reach another workspace’s information, or interfere with the service;
- probe, scan, or test its security, or reverse engineer it, without our written permission;
- use bots, scripts, or AI agents to access or operate Schedlynx in bulk, or in a way that puts unusual load on it;
- get around the trial, your plan’s limits, or its fees, for example by opening repeated trials, splitting one business across workspaces, or sharing one person’s sign-in among several people;
- copy or resell it, scrape it by automated means, or build a competing service from it;
- use it, its content, or its design to train an AI model; or
- upload anything harmful, such as malware.
We may suspend a workspace that does, after notice where we reasonably can.
7. Availability
We work to keep Schedlynx available and your information safe, and we back it up nightly. During the pilot the service is provided as is: we make no promise of uptime, and it may be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control.
8. Ending
- You may stop at any time. Ask us at support@schedlynx.com and we will remove your workspace and its information, except what our Privacy Policy says stays for a time, such as the copies in our backups until their period passes.
- We may end these terms with 30 days’ notice, or at once if you seriously breach them.
- Sections 4, 9, and 10 continue after these terms end.
9. Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Schedlynx is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability under these terms is limited to CAD $100 during the pilot. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario decide any dispute.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect. Each version carries its date at the top.
12. Contact
Terms
Member Terms
Effective October 15, 2026. Version 1.
These terms apply when you accept an invitation to a workspace on Schedlynx (“we”, “us”).
- Your workspace runs its schedule. You use Schedlynx because a workspace (usually your employer) invited you. The workspace decides about its schedule and the information it holds about you, and questions about them go to the workspace first. Our Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.
- Your account is yours. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You can change your name and your notice settings at any time.
- Your links act for you. The links in your texts and emails open your own requests and your own schedule without signing in, and anyone holding one can use it. Please don’t share them.
- Use it fairly. Don’t use Schedlynx to harass anyone, to get around its security, or to reach information that is not yours, and don’t share your sign-in with anyone else.
- As is. Schedlynx is provided as is, to the extent the law allows.
- Ending. Your workspace can end your access at any time. You can ask us about your account’s information at privacy@schedlynx.com.
- Changes. When these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
